In 2012 the Little Rock progressive rock band Rayburn contacted me about designing an album art experience for their debut release "Your Mind".  For the vinyl release I designed a double gate-fold album to house two custom-labels audiophile vinyl records, a 20-page illustrated lyric booklet insert, a 20-page band biography booklet insert, 4 limited edition signed lithographs based on the album art, an embossed slipcase for the lithographs, all housed in a hand-stamped and numbered wrap-around box.

For the CD release 6 months later I designed a deluxe wallet book with a 22-page booklet with promotional embossed card insert and custom picture disc CD.

Box Set

The 16 song album was pressed onto two audiophile vinyl records and included a download card for an HQ digital copy.  There were a total of over 20 separate elements that I designed for the box set....down to the promotional sticker on the shrink wrap!

I chose the cover art for the album for the first signed lithograph, which was then housed in a white nautilus design embossed slipcase.

For the second lithograph I chose the back cover art for the album, which was then housed in a white nautilus design embossed slipcase.

Band T-Shirts

For the band T-Shirts I chose the unchanged album cover artwork for the back in order to provide that central image to the band's identity with the most exposure, while for the front I chose one of four different song titles - pictured here "Working my way upstream" - to function as slogans that can be understood even without the context of the album, but that also still invite question, opening dialog with others about the band and the new album.

MP3's, Downloads & Buttons

To coincide with the publication of the physical album on vinyl and CD, I designed separate identities for the 16 songs on the album using variations of the album's artwork for downloads and for promotion on the website.
